Training Session – Offensive Organization

This training session is planned in line with a short pass and supported style game model. The team needs to have some understanding of the game model, especially in the last 2 drills where the organization, both offensive and defensive, are the basis of the exercise.

4×4+3N – positional game

Description:

  • Seek to take the ball from 1 outside support to another – 1 point
  • 8 points and the opposite team takes a punishment

Goal:

  • Create passing lines
  • Outside and inside game
  • Lost ball reaction
  • Take the ball out of the center of the game
  • Ball possession in short spaces
  • Criar linhas de passe

Dimension:

  • 30x20m

Time:

  • 12′

 

11×11 with 4 zones

Description:

  • The ball needs to go through 3 of the 4 zones in order to attack the goal
  • The team that recovers the ball in the offensive midfield can score immediately if the ball has not moved to the defensive midfield
  • Offensive midfield recover with goal, results in immediate punishment for  the opposite team 

Goal:

  • Ball circulation in width
  • Positioning and dynamics in construction
  • Take the ball out of the center of the game
  • Pause vs acceleration

Dimension:

  • From penalty area to penalty area

Time:

  • 25′

 

Conditioned game

Description:

  • Constraints for the red team:
    • With ball, behind the line only the defensive line and 1 of the midfielders can enter
    • Only 1 player giving width
    • Full back outside, winger inside
    • Winger outside, full back inside rupture movement
  • Constraints for the blue team:
    • Balls placed in depth (behind the white line), only the center backs can be inside the penalty area
    • Mandatory to make high pressure

Goal:

  • Starting ball – game construction
  • Positioning and dynamics in construction
  • Side lane dynamics
  • Attacking depth
  • Verticality

Dimension:

  • Full field

Time:

  • 40’+10′ free
